About Me

My name is Danyela, though many of my clients call me Ms. Dany. I am a faith-based therapist who is passionate about walking alongside individuals and families on their journey toward healing and wholeness. As a devoted Christian, I approach therapy from a holistic perspective that considers the emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual aspects of each person’s life. This Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual lens allows me to support clients in a way that honors their whole selves—not just the symptoms they may be experiencing.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I provide individual, couples, premarital, family, and group counseling in a safe and supportive space. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help you uncover your strengths, reconnect with your authentic self, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique story. I draw on several evidence-based approaches to guide our work together. Through a family systems lens, we’ll explore how your early relationships and family dynamics have shaped your current experiences. I also incorporate person-centered principles, which means I hold deep respect for your inner wisdom and capacity for growth—you set the pace, and I provide a space where you feel truly seen and heard.

For couples and families, I integrate research-based tools from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help strengthen emotional bonds, improve communication, and rebuild trust. These approaches allow us to understand and transform unhelpful patterns, so you can feel more connected and supported in your most important relationships.

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I consider it an honor to walk beside you as you take steps toward healing, clarity, and renewed purpose. No matter where you are starting from, there is always hope for change—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Off the Clock

  • Off the clock, you can find me spending time with family, friends, and my dogs. As a California native, I love sunny pool days, beach trips, morning walks, and visits to Disney.

  • My faith is an important part of who I am. As a Christian, I enjoy reading the Bible, meditating on Scripture, listening to sermons and podcasts, diving into a good book, and singing at worship nights with my community.

  • I'm also a Tia (auntie) to some amazing kiddos, and I love cheering them on at their sports games and extracurricular activities.

  • Recently, I’ve picked up photography as a hobby, it’s been such a fun and creative outlet! I love capturing (sometimes blurry!) moments from family vacations, outings, hangouts with friends, and even solo adventures.
