Who I Work With

Adult Individuals, Couples, and Families

About Me

Have you ever felt trapped in the same argument loop with your partner or family? A conversation that goes nowhere and leaves everyone feeling hurt and misunderstood? This is often a negative cycle—a powerful pattern where each person's reaction triggers the other, pulling you both into a downward spiral.

For individuals, this cycle can turn inward. Anxious thoughts and negative self-talk can “hook” you into patterns of isolation and avoidance, leaving you feeling stuck, frozen, and disconnected from the life you want to live.

You long for connection and forward movement, but your best attempts seem to backfire. My passion is helping individuals, couples, and families break free. Together, we will slow things down, understand what’s truly happening beneath the surface, and forge new, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others—so you can finally feel heard, valued, and securely connected.

My Approach: Combining Insight with Action

My work is grounded in the belief that a secure emotional bond is foundational to our well-being at every age. My training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and my experience counseling K-8 students have shown me a universal truth: the need for safe, secure attachment that helps a child thrive is the very same need that allows partners to turn toward, instead of away from, each other in times of distress.

While we work on relational patterns, I also equip you with practical tools for your internal patterns. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help you "unhook" from the grip of painful thoughts and feelings. Instead of fighting your internal experience, you'll learn to accept it and focus on what you can control: your actions. By clarifying what you deeply care about, you can take committed steps toward building a richer, more meaningful life.

For Those Seeking Faith-Based Counseling

In addition to my clinical training, I am a Level 2 Certified Biblical Counselor and a former church elder. For those of you who wish to integrate their Christian faith into their therapy, I offer a space where timeless biblical truths can be applied to life's modern challenges. Here, your faith is not just an add-on; it can be a central source of strength and healing on your journey.

Off the Clock

Outside my work, I receive enjoyment and physical activity through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I love to travel and explore new cultures and ways of thinking. I’m also enjoying the joys and challenges of marriage and parenting a pre-teen. I believe that constant learning and staying open to new experiences is essential, both in life and in the therapeutic process.
