Who I Work With Teens, adults, couples, and families
About Me
I am a compassionate, strengths-based therapist, and it is my privilege to have been licensed since 2016. I believe therapy should provide a safe, compassionate space for people to experience transformation. Likewise, I approach my treatment drawing from clinical expertise in evidence-based practices, biblical principles, and the unique story each person brings to the room.
In treatment, I typically utilize evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people find healing from life's challenges. I often find people wrestling with inaccurate and distorted beliefs about themselves and the world around them. My goal is to help you see yourself, your life, and the world around you more clearly and to find peace within your own circumstance.
One of the things I enjoy about working here at Through the Sea is getting to engage as a Biblical counselor. In this role, I get to embrace the Wesleyan roots from my alma matter, Azusa Pacific University. Drawing from clinical expertise (reason), biblical principles (scripture), the countless colleagues that have formed and shaped my own expertise (tradition), and the unique story of each person (experience) to guide the healing process.
I have experience in working with teens, college-age students, young adults, couples, and retirees. I enjoy helping people navigate issues such as relationship struggles, ADHD, addiction, anxiety, and depression. I find a lot of satisfaction working with various people through all life stages and events, whether it's dating, bringing a baby home, or retirement.
