Darissa Brooks | LMFT#45240, Supervisor

Darissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families to meet their goals of living in congruence to their values, especially with the values that are given to us by God in His Word.  Darissa uses a compassionate and direct approach to identify what is blocking each individual from achieving their goals and experiencing freedom from the pain of mental illness, trauma, sin, and relational wounds.  Her practice has focused on attachment, PTSD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and the relationships impacted by these disorders.

Sonja Peverieri | LMFT#84724, Supervisor

Sonja is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and enjoys sharing her faith as a trained Biblical Counselor. She has a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families to meet their life goals and to improve their connection in relationships.  Sonja uses a compassionate and person-centered approach to identify what is blocking each individual from achieving their goals and experiencing freedom from the pain of sin, adultery, loss of a loved one, and relational distress.  She is trained in the Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) to guide parents and young adults toward reaching their personal growth goals. Her clinical experience has focused on attachment between the parents and child, treating anxiety and depression, and offering prayer in session to build perseverance through trials in life.

Joanne is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked with children, teens, and adults in hospital settings and non-profit community settings. She has earned her master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also has a bachelor’s degree in studio art and an associate degree in graphic design. Her art background and training are the foundation for her specialization in art therapy. She has a passion for serving those who suffer from physical ailments and chronic pain. Joanne hopes to instill faith and conviction in Christ who gives them strength to overcome their circumstances so that they may find the fulfillment that God has intended for them.

Caleb Ashurst | AMFT#143076

Caleb is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist; he uses an attachment lens to assess how clients’ early relationships inform current responses to negative emotion. He also uses a variety of interventions from a CBT lens as needed to assist clients in regulating and combatting unhelpful thought patterns, while focusing on addressing and healing longstanding relational wounds. Caleb believes God created us to be relational, and that healing happens best in relationship to others, ourselves, and God. Caleb holds a Bachelors degree in Religion from Vanguard University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. He holds certifications in Biblical Counseling, Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy, and Prepare and Enrich For couples. He has served for the last five years as volunteer staff at a church and has experience leading small groups and pastoring young adults.

Jody is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. She highly values the connection she has with her clients as she provides a warm and empathetic environment. Jody received her Masters's degree in Clinical Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University, Irvine. The training she received in this Biblically-based Masters program allows Jody to work through a lens of love and grace based on the truths of Scripture, allowing her clients to feel seen, heard, and known. Jody has experience with and enjoys working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families as she assists them in finding meaning and purpose in their struggles. Additionally, Jody relies on evidence-based tools and techniques from Client-centered therapy, Attachment-based therapy, Solutions-focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, EFT, and Psychodynamic theories to facilitate growth and dynamic transformation. Jody is EMDR trained and believes that God often provides dramatic healing from trauma through this process. Jody loves serving God, as she fulfills her calling to encourage those who are working through challenges with chronic health problems, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relationship struggles.
