About Me
Whether this is your first time ever going to therapy or therapy has been a part of your life for years, I hope to journey alongside you and anywhere in between. It is normal to have a lot of nerves and fears when starting therapy for the first time or with someone new. My hope is to be a safe, non-judgmental, calm presence as we navigate through the joys and trials of life.
I have a background in working in a variety of mental health settings, including community mental health, group practice, and as a therapist in a church setting. If you are seeking couples therapy, I enjoy using Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is an evidence-based approach that discusses emotional patterns and attachment. I also enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps you identify negative thinking patterns and work on building healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills. I offer Biblical Counseling if that is something you desire to be integrated into our time of therapy.
Off the Clock
Outside of work, you will find me with my husband and our son at the beach, a nearby park, or trying out a new coffee shop. I love being outdoors, baking, cooking, and playing piano.
