Comfort & Remembrance: Grief Support Groups

comfort grief support

April - June 2026

Our grief support groups warmly welcome adults who are carrying loss, longing, or complicated emotions connected to parents, parent figures, and the experiences of motherhood or fatherhood. Whether your grief is recent or long‑held, clearly defined or difficult to name, you are not alone here. These groups offer gentle, understanding spaces to share your story at your own pace—especially during tender seasons like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. All experiences are honored, all emotions are welcome, and connection is possible alongside others who truly understand. View Dates and Register Here!

Grieving Our Mothers

COED Grief Support Group for Adults

This group offers a supportive space for adults grieving the loss of a mother or maternal figure. Whether your loss is recent or occurred long ago, grief can resurface—especially around Mother’s Day—and you do not have to navigate it alone.

This group is open to individuals grieving the loss of:

  • A mother

  • A stepmother

  • A grandmother who served in a maternal role

  • A foster or adoptive mother

  • A spiritual mother, mentor, or guide

  • A mother figure of any kind

  • An estranged or complicated maternal relationship

  • A loss that resurfaces during Mother’s Day or significant anniversaries

Participants are invited to share their stories, honor complex emotions, and find connection with others who understand the lifelong impact of maternal loss.

Grieving Our Fathers

COED Grief Support Group for Adults

This group provides a compassionate environment for adults grieving the loss of a father or paternal figure. Grief may be straightforward or deeply complicated, and it may reappear during Father’s Day or other meaningful times.

This group is open to individuals grieving the loss of:

  • A father

  • A stepfather

  • A grandfather who served as a father

  • An adoptive or foster father

  • A spiritual father, mentor, pastor, coach, or guide

  • A father figure

  • An estranged or complicated paternal relationship

  • A recent or long-ago loss that resurfaces around Father’s Day

Together, participants explore grief, identity, and legacy while finding support in shared experience.

Motherhood, Loss & Longing

  • Loss of a foster child

  • Complicated grief or heightened emotions around Mother’s Day

Participants are encouraged to share openly, grieve without comparison, and find validation, connection, and hope.

Fatherhood, Loss & Longing

Men’s Grief Support Group

This group offers men a dedicated space to process grief related to fatherhood—especially grief that often goes unseen, unsupported, or unspoken. The group acknowledges the complex emotions men experience around loss and longing, particularly during Father’s Day.

This group is for men experiencing:

  • Infertility or male-factor infertility

  • Pregnancy loss or miscarriage

  • Stillbirth

  • Loss of an infant or child

  • Loss through abortion

  • Adoption disruptions or failed placements

  • Foster fathers waiting to adopt
