Who I Work With

Pre-teens/Teens (12+), Individuals, and Families

About Me

I am eclectic in my theoretical approach and draw from modalities like narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I approach therapy from a compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed stance. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who struggle with their sense of worth and identity, and also helping children and parents be reconciled to one another through individual and family therapy.

My volunteer experiences with the homeless population, missions work overseas, clinical work with low-income/marginalized populations, and personal life experiences have helped my understanding that suffering is a universal experience in a hurting world. However, there is much that we can hope for in the midst of suffering. When a bone breaks and heals, it heals to become thicker and stronger than what it was prior to the break. Like so, what feels “damaged” or “broken” now isn’t the end of your story; we can

look forward to a life marked by the beauty and strength of restoration.

Let's work together to rewrite your story of hardship into one of strength and overcoming. Oftentimes, when we’ve been struggling for a while, we forget to slow down and notice how far we’ve come. We

have a tendency to hold on to the negatives, while forgetting the positives in our lives. What if the story of defeat that you tell about yourself is actually one filled with resilience, victory, and courage? In the Bible, God called Gideon a “mighty man of valor” before he felt like one. God saw something in Gideon that he could not see in himself. Sometimes a shift in perspective can change how we approach the challenges we face in our lives.

You are more than you believe yourself to be, stronger than you perceive, and loved beyond measure by our Creator. I look forward to walking with you towards the journey of healing, freedom, and sound mind.

Off the Clock

You’ll find me on the search for my next favorite coffee/tea shop, singing and playing guitar, road tripping with my husband, hiking, and trying out new recipes.
