About Me
Hello! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. I work with clients who experience low self-esteem, difficulty socializing, a lack of coping skills, low motivation, and an inability to communicate feelings. I collaborate with these clients to help them identify their own strengths, coping strategies, and the self-confidence needed to develop their own goals and begin forming strong, positive relationships.
I believe positive change occurs when clients are willing to take steps toward their goals, no matter how small. One step I help clients take is by helping them understand how their past may affect their present. Attachment patterns form in childhood. My goal is to help clients see how they form attachments with friends and family and why such patterns exist.
My work with adolescents and families is deeply informed by my own early experiences. At age twelve, I witnessed my father struggle with substance abuse, which led to significant changes in his behavior, including increased aggression and paranoia. I also saw the emotional toll this took on my mother before she ultimately chose to divorce. Through that difficult season, I was strengthened by my faith and the consistent support of caring individuals in my community. These influences helped me recognize my strengths, build resilience, and adapt to profound family changes.
Those experiences shape my commitment to supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they process emotions, develop self-awareness, and recognize their capacity to grow despite adversity. When working with clients who struggle with substance use, I help them understand the importance of coping skills and address the underlying issues that contribute to their addiction.
As a mental health professional, I am passionate about helping clients reach their full potential by guiding them toward insight, healing, and meaningful change. In my practice, I help clients better understand themselves by exploring their personal history, thought patterns, and behaviors. I also believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives, and I offer Biblical counseling for those who desire it.
Off the Clock
I love going to the movies with friends and family, gym time, and exploring nature through hikes or traveling to national parks.
