About Me

Have you been feeling weighed down? Are you feeling stuck, misunderstood, or hopeless, and looking for a change? I believe that anxiety, depression, spiritual pain, relationship conflict, and struggles of various kinds are best addressed with intention and someone by your side. I’m here to be that person for you, offering curiosity, compassion, and new perspectives for change.

As a therapist, I believe that my role is to walk beside you and help you find the best version of yourself. This version of you accepts challenges as they come, experiences freedom, loves yourself and others well. This means that my role is to uplift you, approach your story with curiosity, and earn your trust so that sharing feels natural.

I take a client-centered approach, which means that what we do together will be guided by your personal goals at your pace. I like to bring into our sessions a variety of therapeutic resources as they fit your needs (such as interventions coming from EFT, CBT, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths Based Therapy). At times I may provide new perspectives to consider or gentle insights as you share. My hope is for this to be a collaborative endeavor not a set of prescriptions for you to follow.

My Christian faith informs how I do therapy and why I decided to become a therapist. I believe that we all have immense value based in who we are made to be, not in what we have or will accomplish. I believe we have a purpose in this life and when we are living in that purpose, we will be fulfilled. When we connect well with the created order we flourish, and when we connect with the Creator we rejoice.

If you would like help making faith more central to your life and your healing process, I would be delighted to integrate biblical counseling into our sessions, reading and praying together. I approach biblical counseling with a client-centered approach as wellwith your goals in mind, at your pace. If you have made God’s Word an authority in your life, then we would approach the Bible in this manner in session. If faith is something you are curious about, we could approach the Bible as having perspectives for us to consider. Either way, you are welcome here.

Your life has hope. You are worth the effort of getting better and you don’t have to do it alone. “Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me” (Psalm 30:2).

Off the Clock

When I am home I love playing with my 2 kids and focusing on family life. I have been enjoying connecting with my friends over online games as well as meeting up for basketball on the weekends. My interests include all things games (board games, video games, etc.) and making art when I get the chance. My church has been an integral part of my life when not at work. The people there are refreshing and hearing the Word is encouraging to my spirit.
